Wairoa Christmas Festival 2016
The hot summery weather challenged people on the walk or run 5km course starting at the Library Green, however it did not deter whanau getting in on the action. Some of the YNOT crew helped by marshalling along the course.
The crew had a fundraiding stall selling iced goodies to people including Spider drinks & iceblocks. Many other stalls joined in trailing down Marine Parade selling everything from food, clothing, plants, household item, arts & crafts.
This year the theme for Wairoa's Christmas Parade was Children's Storybook, so the YROA YNOT crew decided to bring the fantasy and magic from Princes' & Princesses'. The crew got together on the Friday Night & Saturday morning to get the Magic Castle float ready.
The parade was enjoyed by everyone; smiles and waves from on the float and free lollies given by the walkers.
The crew packed away the float and stall to enjoyed the great talents showcased at the Whanau Concert by the Wairoa Library. Vocals, instruments & dancing entertained the crowdn and it was extra special to see fellow crew members performing.
